The aim of the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth - Tillväxtverket - is to work to achieve more enterprises, growing enterprises and sustainable, competitive business and industry throughout Sweden.
Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth operations include the areas of responsibility previously belonging Nutek and the Swedish National Rural Development Agency as well as the Swedish Consumer Agency's tasks concerning commercial and public service.
Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth has around 300 employees in 11 offices around the country. Director General is Christina Lugnet, who is based at the Stockholm office on Götgatan 74.

Since 2007 The Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth (Tillväxtverket) is commissioned by the government to be national coordinator for the programme "Promoting women's entrepreneurship".
The booklet "Women´s entrepreneurship in Sweden" provides an overview of the work done in Sweden to promote women´s entrepreneurship, and is a co-production by the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth (Tillväxtverket), ALMI Företagspartner AB and the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems (VINNOVA).

DemoEnvironment gives authorities, municipalities, institutions and companies in some forty countries cooperating with Sida an opportunity to test new technology. Small and medium sized companies are offered support for pilot studies on project development and project identification.
The Enterprise Europe Network is the largest network of contact points providing information and advice to EU companies on EU matters, in particular small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Tillväxtverket is the Swedish network coordinator and also finances the network in Sweden together with the European Commission.
