Sustainable growth

Growth is essential to the development of society. It provides greater scope for new initiatives in companies and the public sector, and a greater supply of goods and services.

However, economic growth on its own is not enough in a long-term perspective. That is why we talk about sustainable growth. By this we mean a society that is developing at the same time as human resources are being developed and environmental values are being safeguarded
in the long-term. For us, sustainable growth is an important and forward-looking approach given all the challenges that Sweden and the world are facing.

Innovation leads to opportunities

We are convinced that new thinking, entrepreneurship and innovations lead to new opportunities for development and growth. If we reduce unemployment and exclusion, we can contribute substantial additional human resources to work on achieving sustainable growth. If we make it easier to start and run a company, we can get more new entrepreneurs and jobs. If we simplify regulations for entrepreneurs, they can devote more time to developing their businesses and growing them. And last but not least, if we can mobilise the capacity for development in all regions, we will have more potential for growth throughout the country.

Catalyst between actors

Cooperation is a consistent theme running through all our activities. We are there to create fruitful meetings and projects that make companies and regions better able to grow by themselves. When we work best, we do so by being a catalyst between different actors in society. We start new cooperative activities between companies. We assist by providing networks, information and measurements. And we both take initiatives and cooperate with other government agencies to make it simpler to start and run a company. In this way, cooperation can accelerate developments and help to create sustainable growth in the longer term.
